The feature thread images are cropped incorrectly

We're experiencing the following issue:

XenForo seems to be cropping an image we're uploading as a featured post in the carousel on the forum's main page.

This behavior appears to be coming from the XenForo core, and not from any custom CSS in the theme.

We would appreciate your help in investigating what might be causing this issue.

I believe it's because featured images are cropped to be a perfect square. You're uploading images that with a height greater than the width, so the height is cropped to match the width. I'm not sure if this is as-designed, or why that might need to be the case, but I've noticed the same thing on my sites.
