That sentence doesn't imply you don't have to enter login details. It states that it supports download and install of add-ons hosted on other sites than XenForo.com, even if it requires login to download. As you see out from the screenshots, it will ask you for username and password for xenfrench (for instance).

I keep getting the following when trying to upgrade software, addons etc etc..

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.sixcrazyminutes.com/admin.php?upgrade/get-download-version. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

As @yavuz says, the other sources bit is absolutely key. Also, this add-on supports importing of all sorts of other XML types, most of which are unlikely to ever be supported by @Chris Deeming's add-on because they are proprietary Waindigo XML types -- although languages and styles have been thrown in for good measure.

Note that because they are not identical, this add-on CAN be installed alongside @Chris Deeming's add-on. In fact, both add-ons can be used to install each other!

Make sure you uploaded all XenForo files, that constant was added in a 1.2 Beta. I don't remember which.

That test forum is a fresh installation of Xenforo 1.1.5

Awesome! lol I'm a little late on this as I only discovered it about 5 min ago. I added it to all my compatible resources. Will put both images side by side and update install instructions when I get on my laptop.

It seems that I've accidentally used a bit of code that should only be used in PHP 5.3. I will update in the next version.
