    I can't figure out how to do this. When you click on a main forum. I want to remove everything below the sub forum list, like the red box in this screenshot http://awesomescreenshot.com/0d8146ej42 Removing the display of posts in the main forums and ability to post in main forums.

    Why don't you make "The Inn" into a category instead of having it as a forum node if you don't plan to have threads there?

    The site will have many forums so instead of a bunch of forums on the node list, "The Inn" serves as a sub catagory and lists all the sub forums within it on the node list taking up far less space.

    What I meant is this:

    -- FB Forums Welcome Center (Category)
    -----> The Inn (Category) (acts like sub-category)
    ---------> Subforum A
    ---------> Subforum B
    ---------> Subforum C

    An category inside category. Isn't that what you want to archieve?

    You will need to edit the template and use a node ID conditional.

    <xen:if is="{$forum.node_id} != x">
    Template content

    Is there an easier way to do it then each node id as I want to do this for all first level forums.

    I think you got me hinged... because I was interested at knowing what I did not understand. :D

    ... and this is what I came up with in few seconds using CyberAP's guide.

    Oh I thought a cat inside a cat you could post in the 2nd level cat, perfect! Thank you.

    Yes. :) It's an category inside an category, but since an category can't have threads, it only shows the child nodes.
