TeeVee Town

Thanks fellows, we'll try to build up some activity this year so the site can grow.
We will :)

Yeah it seems a real waste to have such a nice site that doesn't have any traffic.
The problem for me currently is lack of computer. My laptop is having charging issues and only charges when closed and doesn't work on the AC alone right now (I have the parts to fix it, it's just finding the time!) and my desktop is unfortunately in a location where the WiFi doesn't reach - so waiting on getting it hardwired - which isn't a simple process right now - needs the router moving and drilling through a couple of walls :D

You could try using powerline adapters.

I second that. I used TP-Link and it works a lot better than wifi for a computer. Laptops are better with WiFi
I have a janky setup while I'm helping out my mom and stepdad; because of how old the house is the WiFi from upstairs can't reach downstairs so I'm using a cheaper powerline adapter (because I wasn't sure it would work here) and a Connectify to setup WiFi access point using my desktop.

The powerline adapter I linked is the best I've found with a reasonable price; most adapters don't have multiple ports and WiFi, or lack decent speeds.

Did try them, they just don't work for me :(
One problem (especially in some houses) is depending on the circuit breakers in use and the layout. I know a couple of people (one of them was in a house that still had the screw in breakers) had problems with them.
