As designed Tagging Limit

I've got 'Maximum taggable users per message' set to 5. But someone has tagged 20 members in one post.



Can someone replicate this and confirm if it's a bug or not?

The user is Part of the normal Registered Group for which it's set to 5. And another Group, which is for disabling an option on his account. That's set to 0 by default. (not unlimited).

I believe Mike posted earlier that the alerts won't be sent but the member names will still show as URLs.

Have you confirmed that all 20 members were alerted?

It seems only the 5 first members were alerted. So that''s fine, as none of the others got an alert.

Will this be fixed? It's a bit misleading for members tagging users + those who see their name tagged but don't receive an alert.

This is the designed behavior. I can see the debate though - if you want to propose an alternative with a suggestion, feel free to post in the suggestion forum.
