TAC(Tenants Anti-Spam Collection) - Anti-Spam (Free Version) [Deleted]

ok, i will uninstall what I have, and get honeypot, and see how it goes, then if i need
to move on CustomImg then will, or may just get anyway next week.

only if members loved me as much as bots do,
I think i would have something here...

FBHP + CustomImgCaptcha (or just FBPH, but it's always best to have layers of protection)

thats odd, i did download TAC, but I only see AnyAPI, i do not see 2-6....
according to your pages, free and paid include this, right?
or am i missing something....?

Each of the paid addons are downloadable as separate plugins from SurreyForum:

FoolBotHoneyPost - £14
StopCountrySpam - £12
StopHumanSpam - £11
CustomImgCaptcha - Free
FaceBookRegCaptcha - Free
AnyApi - Free

Or £25 as a complete set:

FoolBotHoneyPost - Part of set
StopCountrySpam - Part of set
StopHumanSpam - Part of set
CustomImgCaptcha - Part of set
FaceBookRegCaptcha - Part of set
AnyApi - Part of set

Both Free and Paid contain all 6, I've checked the ZIPs and all 6 are included in both:

Upload>> Library >>Tac>>FoolBotHoneyPot
Upload>> Library >>Tac>>StopCountrySpam
Upload>> Library >>Tac>>StopHumanSpam
Upload>> Library >>Tac>>CustomImgCaptcha
Upload>> Library >>Tac>>FaceBookRegCaptcha
Upload>> Library >>Tac>>AnyApi

The file size of the zip is 242.8 KB

Edit: this is no longer true. The paid version now contains DeDos (the free version does not)

Hi tenants,

First, thanks for this package, especially FoolBotHoneyPot!

Second, I use Add-on Install & Upgrade mod and after updating and then manually selecting the various XML files, FoolBotHoneyPot is still showing as out of date. I think this is because the most recent update is 2.2.10b but the version listed in the XML file in the 1.0.3c package is just 2.2.10. Is FoolBotHoneyPot fully up to date despite the version number difference?

Thanks.

I am not sure how I am supposed to upgrade.
I goto your site, i click on the upgrade link, so it
wants me to sign in or signup, I goto signup, and get:
New registrations are currently not being accepted.

What country are you from, I block China, Russia and a few others... I can unblock them, since I don't really need to block them anymore

The latest version of FoolBotHoneyPot is FoolBotHoneyPot_v2_2_10b
But, in the XML file it will say 2.2.10, that's correct. Going from 2.2.10 to 2.2.10b was a minor fix in one file, there was no need to export an new version (I only do this if I release something then spot an issue straight after a release, and this issue doesn't require template / database changes)

I've just checked, you are using a proxy via a Squid Proxy Server:

$_SERVER[HTTP_VIA]: 1.1 ENGRX0100Bay09 (squid/3.1.14)

This could be your internet service provider using squid.
But I won't allow anyone to register using a proxy, sorry, I don't make exceptions to that rule

You can use the free versions

no problem.

Okay, that's great. Thanks for the confirmation.

I received tremendously attack from France, this TAC resources are great and effective. I haven't got any spamming so far as they are locked in the door. (y)

You can add any api using AnyApi (that's what it was designed for)

Bad behaviour uses http:BL

AnyAPI is already set up with http:BL settings

AnyApi is set up with the following API defaults:

  • Project Honey Pot Http:BL
  • Stop Forum Spam
  • FSpamlist
  • Spam Busted
  • Bot Scout

You can use up to 10 API's and it can be customised to work with ANY api ...

To be honest, if you use FoolBotHoneyPot, you wont need APIs (it stops 100% of bots, no issues, humans don't even notice it, with over 5 million requests, 0 false positives)

Bad Behavior uses the Project Honeypot database, but what it does with it, is what it makes it special. None of the AnyAPI defaults protect like bad behavior does. Its a different breed.
BB not only protects at registration, but also before and after.
Please consider to include Bad Behavior.
