has anyone else played with one?
my friend was given several Surface Books from where he does work at and as a experiment he went and installed ubuntu on them.
he gave me one of them and it is what i am playing with now.
it is better than the old apple computer i was using.
i think i could get to like this.
i thought it was funny to watch it boot up and you think it is going be windows and it is not.
he even got the touch screen to work like it is supposed to.
the only bad thing is the batteries are apparently old and do not last long if not plugged in.

now i am also trying out the surface pro he installed ubuntu on.
it is an older model.
i don't like the smaller screen as well as the book.

he also loaned me an old surface pro with ubuntu installed.
the battery only lasts about an hour unless you are power saving mode.
but he said the default install worked for it with touch screen where the book did not.
it is kind of neat to play with and i can see why some like it better on a desktop than windows.
it is the first time i have used it.
i usually use a apple product or windows.
