Is this the general practice of Xenforo t0 "delete" support questions when asked in the wrong forum as apposed to moving them to the correct forum?

It seems as though you actually posted in the wrong thread, let alone the wrong forum. You posted in a general discussion thread about an add-on rather than in the add-on support thread.
It's quite reasonable to expect that would be deleted.
