XF 2.0 Super Admin locked out

I'm still setting up everything on my forum. In the process of changing my password, I have apparently entered the wrong password to change it to. Now nothing I put in will accept it as the password. I am somehow still in the Admin Control Panel, but I can't change the password again because I don't know the current one.

I have clicked "forgot my password" and entered my email. It says it sent me an email but I never received it. I have checked spam folder.

You can perform a password reset if you don't remember the password.

I tried via the "forgot my password" link but never received an email.
When I try from the ACP, it still asks for my current password when I click "save".

Your options are fairly limited if you don't know the password and aren't receiving emails.

Are you able to log in with another super admin account and reset the password using that?

No lol. I think I may just completely remove and reinstall. I'm fortunately not too far ahead. Thanks for trying, anyway.

If you have access to the server then change it directly in the db. You may need to generate the password hash yourself first.
