Implemented Suggestion: Google account integration

Google account integration would come in handy where I'm coming from. We'd like to be able to identify forum and Google accounts as being the same person and ideally to have Google login if it's technically feasible.
Federated Login for Google Account Users
In otherwords:
Google supports the OpenID 2.0 protocol, providing authentication support as an OpenID provider. On request from a third-party site, Google authenticates users who are signing in with an existing Google account, and returns to the third-party site an identifier that the site can use to recognize the user. This identifier is consistent, enabling the third-party site to recognize the user across multiple sessions.

Forgot Google was doing Open ID until I heard them talk about it on This Week In Google a couple of weeks ago.

has anyone made any progress on this? With the recent interest and release of Google Plus, we are definitely interested in adding the ability for our forum users to create accounts with their google account and/or link their current account to their google account.

This friendly bump is a figment of your imagination. Never the less, you should be kindly mindful of your imagination and think about imputing this feature. :p

Thanks :)
