What's your stance on creating new subforums? When do you decide its time to split a larger forum up and create a subforum?
My forum doesn't have a lot of subforums and the regular forums are pretty broad in scope. We've tried adding subforums for certain things in the past and they usual fail. People don't seem to bother checking anything other than the main forums. We've also experienced some resentment when we've created subforums and moved some people's favorite threads to the new forum. Anyone else experienced similar problems?
