I am admin at NCF (http://www.nationaalcomputerforum.nl/index.php)
Curently vBulletin 4.2.1 is in use and especialy in http://www.nationaalcomputerforum.nl/forumdisplay.php?f=13 we have quite a lot of subfora.
This forum exists since the year 2001 so a lot of information is available in these subfora.

My question is the following: is it possible when migrating to XF, to have the same two rows of subfora?

If you turn off the sub-forums as a menu, it switches to a flat list. That list actually defaults to 3 per row, though you could tweak it with a CSS change.

And is such a CSS change available?

On my forum sub forums are now neatly in one row, but how to make two rows I do not know.

Yes, it's very simple to change the layout using CSS.
