I know a few web designers who live and die by sub dreamers. So it's gotta be decent. Haven't tried it myself.

Subdreamer CMS isn't perfect but people fall in love it is how I describe Subdreamer.. ... so much so that I bought the company last fall. We have a lot of loyal customers that have been instrumental in the progress we've made in the last 6 months and it has been pleasure... we're a small team but they push us hard and many have had a their requests in for XenForo integration, so here we are. :) We are a long way from competing with the big boys but we're steadily improving. We have a lot of work to do in regards to semantics, e-commerce options and have many other areas of opportunities but SDCMS is a great option case by case for your projects.. especially for community websites with our reliable forum integration options. We're aiming to completely rebuild with SD4 using a new framework and solidifying features and providing add-on options that are in demand. A new lineup of modern skins/templates will be coming in July.

I don't want to plug SDCMS too much in here... so I hope our customers and interested folks discuss it more and share feedback. If anyone wants information from me specifically feel free to post your questions here, the contact form @ Subdreamer.com or PM. Also feel free to register and post to the presales forum @ Subdreamer.com where you can ask existing customers for their opinions. I may also be inclined to give away a few free licenses for any veteran webmasters that want to test Xenforo integration and provide general product feedback.

Thanks all.

Brent.

At a high level, I am wondering how this compares to some of the portal mods already released here and if the integration would be any tighter than the wordpress integration that's out there.

In hindsight, subdreamer would've worked nicely when i was looking for something in the vb3.7 days.

I have a Subdreamer license, so this might come in handy. :)

Too bad, my license is expired. :( So no SD3.0+ for me.

Thanks for dropping by Brent. How soon can we expect the Xenforo integration to be released?
We're currently looking for testers... final release could be a couple weeks to a month or so depending on how the integration is working.

Have you got manuals how to fiddle with Subdreamer?
We're working on our documentation, which can be found here: http://www.subdreamer.com/docs/

I can extend your license if you're able to test the XenForo integration with a test install, local install or live and provide feedback.

Cheers

Will Subdreamer CMS meet the requirements listed in the second post of this thread?

Hi there,

Subdreamer CMS has an article system but it does not interact with the forum.

Our forum integration specific features are listed on our website.
http://www.subdreamer.com/features/forum-integration.html

SDCMS is an unobtrusive solution for integrating with several popular forums so there are limitations on interactivity between forum and SDCMS. The main advantage is a reliable single login for both forum and content management system. When you integrate SDCMS with XenForo, it basically turns off the SDCMS user system and uses the XenForo user database instead. We also offer a latest posts plugin, forum stats, users online and top posters plugin for use on the Subdreamer side... which pulls the data from your forum.

Matching the overall design of the site with your forum can be accomplished several ways.
1. Skin your forum to match your Subdreamer design.
http://subdreamer.org/ as an example, (uses vb) just adds a basic header/footer to the forum template.
You could include a full header or slimmed down header depending on your design.
2. Skin Subdreamer to match your forum. Some people would take a nice XenForo design and create a Subdreamer skin to mirror the appearance of the forum. (see old vb example: http://hockey5.com)

I have an expired SD license as well...still get emails from them lol (need to login and change those preferences ;) ).

Yep me too - I seemed to remember them making changes to the license then dropping support for forum integration with ipb then I got bored of what waiting for new versions that never arrived.

Looks like it won't do what I need.

Thanks for the reply.

I would extend any old licenses for those that want to take a look at our latest version and can test XenForo integration when ready. You can also unsubscribe from those emails if you wish. :)

I agree.. things were a little shaky under the previous owner when SD3 first came out. Forum integration is available with SD 3.3+.. reliable and supported.

Cheers

I have a subdreamer account and 3 xenforo licenses, so that's not a problem. PM me for details.

And cheers to you too, sir/madam.

I donno about anyone else, but that's great customer service right there. *points at SDCMS*

Thanks Carlos. I think you guys/gals would be doing me the great service... a) I'd love to have all previous SD customers take a peak at how we are currently doing b) I'd love to have feedback on the XF integration when ready.
So, thank you! :)
I just need your old username. PM sent.

Thanks, I've opened a conversation), I'm definitely interested in SD!
Extended. Thanks Walter.
