XF 2.0 subDomain to mainDomain, xf2 upgrade

Hi, is there a redirect script if i move my forums to main domain from subdomain?

and, i know it is not supported but enough is enough, i'd like to upgrade to xf2. how many of you upgraded?

The stable release is soon and the product is close to being stable.

Generally to redirect existing URLs from a sub domain to a main domain you would just implement server side redirects.

You may need the support of your host for this, or there's plenty of examples online, e.g.

have another question;


i want to create a node as homepage and i want to make this as default home page, what should i do? should i move the files to myDomain.com or myDomain.com/forums ?

myDomain.com probably.

If you had some sort of landing page or portal page instead of the forum index and you had the files in the root, then you'd have myDomain.com as your home page, myDomain.com/forums for the forum list, myDomain.com/threads/123 as a thread URL etc.

Chris, how can i add "/forums" for the forum list?

By setting something else as your index route under Options > Basic board information.

It defaults to forums/ if you set that to something else (such as a page) then forums/ would be the forum list.

Chris, one last question, how i am moving my subdomain to maindomain? just moving all the files?
