Sub Forums and Forums

Alright, this is something that has been bothering me and perhaps there is an explanation for it, but I can't seem to find anything.

Both Accepted, Denied, Former Staff and the Archived forums are all sub forums of the first forum shown. However, when I click this, they show up?

Is there anyone way to fix this?

How it is set up:
Forum
-Main1
--A
--B
--C
-Main2
--A
--B
-Main3
--A

However, when I click on the Forum, it comes up as:
-Main1
-A
-B
-C
-Main2
-A
-B
-Main3
-A

but I want it to show as:
-Main1
-Main2
-Main3

Create an additional category under the parent and move the sub forums to it.
