Style in progress, wanting some input.

Hey guys,

I thought I'd try and make a XenForo theme from scratch, purely so I can then distribute it... but I'm not sure if I'm heading in the right direction or not. I've not hit a brick wall as such, but I'm just not sure if it's something people would like.

Here's a preview - should I continue or is it not really worth finishing?

Cheers guys. ex.png

I like it too, but, are you going to add any color to it anywhere?
I ask because there are already a couple of black/gray/white styles floating around here somewhere.

Well, I generally work in greyscale when I'm designing off the top of my head, there isn't really a plan for how it looks right now. :ROFLMAO:

I'll move onto adding colours once it's a bit more complete.

Okay, I worked on it some more.

I guess I'm still learning how it works after all.. that's what you get for delving! I think I'm on the right track though... Mind you I'm still narrowing my eyes and thinking.. Hummm. I'm sure something will click soon eh!

Okay, thanks for all your input.

I know, it's monochromatic, but I'll move onto adding colours once I've sorted out how the design is gonna be. No point in muddying up the layout with colours if I've not even decided how it's gonna look yet, right? I've moved onto the discussion list now, almost done... gonna start the post bit next... which I think is gonna be really hard. :/

Any other thoughts so far?

Okay, more work has been done.

I've decided to opt for a light blue/aqua scheme in the long run, but still not finished doing other things yet so most of it is still decidedly monochrome. :p

Some examples of what's been done:

Thanks. :] This is taking a lot of work. x_x Hopefully it isn't in vain! Hehe.

Thanks guys. Instead of doing it in a set colour I just made all the gradients semi-transparent so any colour combination would work. Now I'm just trying to fix stupid IE7 and 8 bugs. :|
