What features have been added to the API that would benefit you?
We update the API version we use only when absolutely necessary as there can, at times, be significant changes to the format of the request and response parameters that may break our existing implementation, or those of add-ons extending the implementation.
The changes they make to the API do not generally reflect any tangible benefit, yet they do reflect significant risk in issues arising due to changes.
This is never going to be something that we routinely update. We will keep it as it is for stability and only consider bumping to a different version when we are implementing code changes that would benefit - perhaps a new API endpoint that returns more data that we need or new functionality that is required.
It's not really something, unless you can explain what changes you require and why, that we need to have an open suggestion for.
