I have modified the hour for some cron entries on my forum (due to XF forcing a default timezone) and I have noticed that these changes get reverted when I update XenForo.
The same would happen with add-on crons when you update them. They're "owned" by what has created them and are not usually meant to be manually edited (without particular reason).
