Another feature people have been asking for, for nearly 6 years and XF hasn't implemented it.

Why are we not able to delete a user and all their content on one simple page?

My understanding is I have to go through and spam clean them on some completely separate interface just to take care of their content. Then go back in to the admin and Delete the User manually.

This is silly. Please listen to your customers and add the feature to Delete the user and opt to delete all their posts along with it.

Suggestions need to be posted in https://xenforo.com/community/forums/xenforo-suggestions.18/ . Try to search for it first to make sure it exists and if so up vote it.

I don't understand what you're suggesting here.

You search for the user in the ACP and click on the Delete button. That's pretty simple. No spam cleaning is needed. That removes all personally identifying information from the database but keeps the posts, which under the Terms of Use are licesned for the use of the forum and need not be deleted.

That would create a total mess of threads on most forums, which is why XF implemented deletion the way they did.

In that case delete the user as spam - job done, but as posted if they are a prolific poster then you will also end up with a lot of threads that break continuity.

To delete a user as 'spam' is simply 3/4 clicks so unless you are planning on deleting many this way it's not an issue

You could absolutely ruin a community by deleting a user who is prolific.

Posts are not removed for the reasons outlined above.

Which would be a case for using the Spam tool. This thread is about deleting a legit user who wants to leave, not spammers.

If you get that many messages posted overnight, then you have things configured improperly.

That is what proactive moderation and anti-spam measures are for.
