The notable members page under Members > Staff members (members/?key=staff_members) shows 20 users. The moderator list in the admin control panel (admin.php?moderators/) shows 24. Both lists should reflect the same staff team, so I suppose I would expect the counts to match.

  1. Go to admin.php?moderators/ and count the listed moderators (21 or up to 100 in my case).
  2. Go to members/?key=staff_members on the front end and count the listed users (20 in my case).
  3. Compare the two lists.

Every user listed as a moderator in the admin panel also appears on the public staff members list. More than 21 or up to 100 users are missing from the public staff members list even though they are listed as moderators in the admin panel.

You're forgetting that there is a separate flag for "Staff" members.
In each user screen: (including the moderator assignment screen, it's shared among both)

We don't typically want moderators to be easily identified in all cases.
So technically, the staff members page isn't just for moderators.
If you check the flag on those members with or without the staff flag, that should explain the difference.

No, all of users are still marked with Display user as staff

Did you check the cap setting already? There is a default cap on the number of staff members displayed.

../admin.php?member-stats/staff-members.5/edit

ACP > Users > Member Statistics > Staff Members > [User limit]

Set this to 0 to disable the limit.

The default is capped at 20, you would need to change this to display more.

Automated triage: As designed

Thank you for reporting this issue. The staff members page shows at most as many users as its member statistic's user limit, and that limit is 20 by default. You can raise it, or set it to 0 for no fixed limit, in the admin control panel under Users > Member statistics > Staff members > User limit.

This is an automated assessment. A member of staff may review and update it.

I couldn't figure this out until now. Thank you!
