XF 1.4 spam posts that quote another post in mod queue

When a post includes spam keywords and it quotes another post, both the spam post and the quoted post are put in the queue. The quoted posts (which were already live on the site) should not go into the mod queue.

Is there any way to prevent this?

There wouldn't be a way to prevent that (and it would be a simple way to avoid any spam filter).

I may not have been clear about what I mean. Suppose we have post A and a spam post is made that quotes post A. Call the spam post, post B.

Both post A and post B are put into the mod queue. Why would post A have to go into the queue. It has not been altered.

There's nothing that would do that out of the box. A post only returns to the moderation queue via manual action by a moderator. I could only guess that an add-on is involved.
