XF 1.5 Spam in User Profiles 'About' Field

Hello All

What's the best way people are stopping Link Spam in the 'About' section of User Profiles?



I've got all the spam tools on, StopForumSpam, Akismet etc; but some get through.

I tried looking in options for where to potentially disable just the 'About' area but got a bit lost.

Anyone have any suggestions or practices they use on there forum which doesn't put off users, but does stop all the spam?

I believe @tenants is looking into stopping that with one of his addons.

Bots bypassing core methods might be due to the new types of bots that bypass classical core honeypots, are js enabled, pause to avoid the registration timer, avoid APIs by holding back their IP address until their registration automation has reached a threshold see: https://xenforo.com/community/threa...hidden-fields-honeypots-core-antispam.125685/

Foolbothoneypot will stop these new types of bots (and many others)
StopHumaSpam will stop this type of posting (just updating now)
