XF 1.4 Spam Checkbox - where does it go?

I have a post on my forum from yesterday and I wanted to use the spam checkbox that typically shows up at the bottom of the post. However - it isn't always there. I'm not sure why or when it disappears, how do I clean up that post in the correct way (i.e., like the spam checkbox does) when this is gone?

Check the spam cleaner criteria - likely one of the values is too low.

I don't see anything under spam management that seems useful

ah... forget it. The user apparently registered a long time ago and waited to spam. thanks.
