XF 2.3 Sort result without parent

I am try to use sort template as below image for one of my addon but my problem is the sorting system should have parent. is there any way to use sort template without parent i mean when user drag the item can't attache it to another item? is this is possible in xenforo?

I don't know if you've solved this already but using data-xf-init="list-sorter" doesn't require a parent by default. In fact, I don't think it even supports parents. You might be using data-xf-init="nestable" instead.

If you must use nestable, you can set data-max-depth="1" to prevent the undesired behaviour.
