When IB announced they hired 'an exceptionally talented UI designer and programmer... working on the vBulletin 4.0 interface, with a particular eye toward consistency and usability', I was hopeful.

Why is it then that the userinterface of vBulletin 4 is lacking in exactly these areas: consistency and usability? I keep being puzzled by so much that goes on over at IB's vBulletin.
