sonnb - Stop Spam Here [Deleted]

I believe that the addon was deleted or missing. Could you have a check?
  • Files are on the server, check
  • File health check passes, check
  • Add-on listed as installed, check
  • Able to change add-on settings, check

However, just to be sure I've re-applied it just now and I'll see if the error happens again. It only happened 1x yesterday.

It only happens if addon's files are missing. In this case, it is: sonnbStopSpamHere_ControllerPublic_Forum

File is on the server.... so....

Maybe I had a bad upload.... In either case it only happen once, I've re-uploaded it (again), and will let you know if I see the error happen again.

If I don't post back, just assume all is well. :)

@sonnb just wanted to thank you for updating this plugin on a regular basis. This plugin has pretty much stopped all the spam bots! Making our lives easier as admins.
Keep up the great work!
I have to agree. This is one addon that is updated regularly, and actually benefits the community rather well.

May I know if this addon can detect sneaky URLs such as "w w w mysite .com"?
This feature can be found in StopHumanSpam
If not supported, would be great if you can include it and I'll gladly purchase this over StopHumanSpam.

I was very happy to learn that this add-on could be used to prevent people posting links until they have X amount of post. And so this add-on has actually helped replace an older, no longer developed add-on. (y)

With this in mind I have a feature request....

Feature request:

Add an option which would also prevent people from sending PM's unless they have X post. This will allow me to replace another older add-on, but also serve as an extra step to help prevent spam (as this add-on continues to do).

Your requirement is very easy to archive. You can use User Promotion feature to do this. If users reach X posts, move them to group X, that group can send PM.

I forgot my password, did the whole email send new password thing, loged in; but then when attempting to change the password from the one sent to email; everytime I press "save changes" it says:

"The following error occurred:
You are not allowed to attach links into your posts because you have not posted 25 posts."

Someone used the "contact us" feature to tell us about this. The only think that I have that would limit links to X post is this add-on.

Would very much prefer not to have to add more user groups and keep things simple. :)

If you do not want to see this then please uncheck "Contact form"

No, I think you misunderstand.

If you read their quote....

They forgot their password, so they went through the whole normal process of having the site send them a new password. Now you and I know the site generated password is usually real short and most people would never remember it, so they tried to change it to something they would use and remember, but they claim they could not save that new password because they got that message.

I see. I will check it.
