XF 2.2 Some users cannot upload images to status updates

Some users can't upload images in status updates, but can in posts. Permissions are all set correctly. It seems to be not related to a specific browser. (One uses Opera, one Firefox) They don't see the button "Upload file", they can't drag and drop to the editor and they can only include URLs in the menu option for images.

If I log in as that user (Addon) it works in their profiles as expected. This is the same no matter which browser I use.

So I am out of ideas what could be the matter...

This has resolved itself - these users were talking about an editor on the what's new page, that was included by an addon, but missing some functions. I simply deleted that addon....
