Fixed Solutions that end with [code] — snippets display

There is a confusing visual for a post marked as solution that ends with a CODE block and is displayed in snippet form, thus applying the ... at the end of the snippet.

The solution snippet in the screenshot shows
display: block... at the end. Most might realize that the code is display: block; but this would be confusing for someone unfamiliar with that type of code.
 
We've changed to an alternative approach for snippeting the solution preview that avoids this issue. (They now behave somewhat more like unexpanded quotes.)
Isn't it also possible to make the original post which is pinned to every page is collapsed in the question threads? Perhaps only a single line block with the thread title which is clickable to expand the content if the user is browsing other than the first page of the thread?
We are receiving some negative feedback from the members who are scrolling to top and finding themselves reading the original question again and again.
