I am going to guess since a6 was in last screenshot we're now on a7, pre-beta 1.
That's correct.
Actually, it's the template compilation process, rather than the XML parse that takes the time.
Worth it though - as all that work can be done at save/import time rather than whenever someone wants to load a page.
