XF 2.3 SMTP Errors

We have been running Xenforo on an A2Hosting server for years. Using DbTech email plugin without issues - til we upgraded to 2.3.7

Now we can't get SMTP to work. Our server uses SSL/TLS on port 465. Everything is configured as it should be. Our host verified the email is part of the hosting package, pointed at the cPanel and it works as it should.

If I try to send a test email from the Tools/Test Outbound Email, it generates a 500 error. I verified the DKIM record is in place however Xenforo has never cleared the access - I still get the brown box saying it may take up to 24hrs,

At the same time, I am getting a ton of server errors tied to DbTech Email:

Any ideas on where to begin to troubleshoot/correct this? I don't know if it is a User, Xenforo or DbTech issue. I do know it was working fine prior to the 2.3.7 update.
