XF 2.1 SMF Import

Hi

I got a problem when importing my old SMF 2.X to Xenforo 2.1.7. Everything goes well but i have foreign characters in my forum and they get imported as "?" (question marks). I've tried to set "Force character set" to latin1 but still the same problem.

And what is the difference between "Force character set" and "Default language character set"?
