How can I tell if my site is slow or not? What sites do you all use?

I am on a Military computer at work and Xenforo is fast.. When I go to my site. It is slow as molasses, can someone let me know if my site is slow and also, can you let me know what issues, I have?

Greatly Appreciate it.

I'd say it's decently fast, I'm in the UK, the main page on first load seemed to spring up in about 4ish seconds, but other bits were still loading around the 9 second mark

Forum tab, when clicked, took about 4 seconds in total.

The main page is rather heavy though, clocking in at 7.2mb, the forum is about 0.7mb

Good site for testing is - http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/

It's not too bad as well for me. You are showing a lot of people online for the total number of members your stats report

Online now: 1,806 (members: 1,632, guests: 174)
Members: 2,487

For a site that's hosted in the USA and I'm in the UK, I'd say that's about normal for a first load of a site, subsequent loads/refreshes were a lot quicker.

I.E. Front page now loads in 3-4 seconds, due to caching
Forum tab now loads in 2-2.5 seconds.

What are your hosting specs? Could just be that apache needs tweaking a bit to sort out max server instances and connections. A few tweaks of your mysql config can sometimes help too.
