Simple Forms [Paid] [Deleted]

Hey Lp-John had an issue when I had to remove and reinstall with old fields names corrupting new forms I made. I created a ticket around 36 hrs ago now I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to look into it.

Hi John your Support has always been good I tried as you suggested and used the clean up sql file and still having issues with the filed retaining some old names. cant really work out why. !! (i could just make a form with 14 fields and get past where i had old fields and when i create a new form or field it then works according to plan.(but the neat freak in me will know I have a fake form with 14 fields for no reason)

Oh Btw I replied back to the ticket as well

I need to get my developer to look at this with you. His availability has been minimal lately, but I'll see if he can get to you soon.
 
Thank John ill use the work around at the moment as I can still use this addon just have to create a fake form with fields used till it comes to a point where where all old fields are used up.

I would also like to say for all other users this is a really good resource well featured and and the support is top notch Thank you LP-John my error is probably caused by other resources causing issues.

If I get a chance I might setup a local test development server and install fresh Xenforo and to some tests.
 
I have checked the demo on this, but it really doesnt tell me what it does./ The screen shots as well do not tell what it does.
Seems interesting from what I can tell , but screen shots or something would be helpful.

Hello WCFA,

Well the addon literally allows you to make forms in XenForo. You can set those forms to collect data, post the data in a new thread, post or conversation. You can have it do all three at once, or 6 threads and 1 posts. It's very flexible.

So if you have a forum that requires more uniformity (like requests/offers) then you can make a form with the fields you'd like to collect and have that data spit out into a new threads your users create. You can even have this little addon replace the "New Thread" button in XenForo to point to the form you created ;).
 
Yeah I use it mainly to create a form for an application to to my gaming clan collecting information. it then creates a new post in one node and a new thread in another node and in that thread it has a poll if member accept the new member.
It also emails the admins of the clan with the new application information.

Once the vote is finished I use an invite addon (ragerk invite addon) to send the new user an invite to join the forum. (my forum has signups disabled and changed the link to all signups to direct through to the application form.

My users can also request access to monitor gaming servers etc through forms

TBH, going that far back I do not know. It may be best to backup your database and attempt the upgrade first. If it fails you can always restore. Then simply export your forms and do a clean install of Simple 2.x.

it´s nothing about this addon.
I had a look to your support forum and saw this popup with mouseover.
Maybe you´ll change it for a better design :)

Does anyone know how to replace the "Post New Thread" button in certain forums where you want a "Post New Form" button instead? Now this used to be simple in vBulletin, but I have found that XenForo has a bunch of code related to this button in the forum_view template. I know how to show it in the right forum with the forum ID conditional, but integrating it in the default code proved to be quite the challenge.

It's an option within the addon. Go to to the Forum Node in question within the Admin CP. Click on the options for the node and there should be an option for "Replace New Thread Button". Select the form it should redirect it to and then write the text the button should say. :)

Any roadmap we have is internal. We were close to releasing 2.1.9, but discovered some addition bugs and areas for improvement so we held back to address those. Not ETA per our usual policy :).
