Not planned Sidebar and side navigation consistency (option)

It would be nice if in XF the sidebars/side navs were consistent.

You from the forum page where the sidebar is on the right, to any other page with a side menu, and it's on the left. It's a bit "jumpy" and not very cohesive.

Suggestion: Admin options or consistency

They are two different concepts so consistency isn’t an objective here.

However the settings are combined and not treated as different so there is some idea of the same concept as far as the acp is concerned.

A left/right setting would be nice for cohesion or independence of the concepts, as you say. Admin choice. Thanks

Plus @Chris D the side navigation in the official add-ons and what's new appears on the left, and you can add widgets to make it a sidebar. So in essence it's a mixed concept and you can mimic the sidebar on the right. This is when it appears to flip flop, especially.
