No because XenForo won't always be forum-only. With the /threads/ it allows us to add content types.

I really don't agree with this as all I see it doing is casuing confusion for new users. For someone who has no experience at all with forums scripts, may find it very difficult to find the file he/she is looking for.

Mike has said it doesn't work like that with the files.

Even if it did though the user shouldn't have to be looking for the files at all. Finding showthread.php isn't going to tell them anything except that there's no thread specified.
