XF 2.0 Set up style properties with cron

is there a easy way to set up a style propertie with a cron?

AFAIR with the release of XF2 you could just edit the template (physical) files aswell, trigger the template cache rebuild and you're good to go. So you would want to edit for example extra.less with a script, rebuild cache and that should be ok. Not 100% sure, though.
