Serving with a CDN

Not php or mySQL related but I can't find a better section to put this. Please move if required.

I am serving some jquery and css using a cdn to my latest project, but if for whatever reason the cdn is un-accessible (server down, or I want to work offline) then the content is un-obtainable .

I guess what I am getting at is there a method to force my server to take a cache of the remote content and store it locally for use when the cdn goes offline (or I am offline)?

The general idea is you have the files on your server regardless, and then push (or pull) them to the CDN. So if the CDN goes down it wont matter.
