We are getting ready to purchase a Xenforo license and to migrate our existing forum from vbulletin.
We need some recommendations about a new sever build - CPU, number of cores, Ram, storage etc
on average we have around 10 million views per month / 40000 visitors per day

What is the size of your current forum? (User/post stats).

The main thought of consideration if you are going to use the enhanced search addon and run the elasticsearch service on the same server it will take a chunk of memory up.

Great, consider then you'll be putting aside ~3gb of memory to load the database into the innodb buffer pool and use the Enhanced Search.

Your current server specs should be more than good enough, so if you're going to be changing over regardless, id say consider looking at SSD but otherwise go for whatever the best deal is.
