So I'm thinking of changing server. I've stuck it out with my current one on shared hosting, because, well, it's been reliable and it's affordable and inexpensive, and just never have any issues with it. However. It has its limitations.
1) I can't whitelist range IP's in the IP Manager (eg Cloudflare IP ranges) only individual IP's (and for Cloudflare there are thousands).
2) I can't change my server IP address or have a dedicated IP address (could have a dedicated IP if I upgrade to cloud hosting with them but it has the same limitations as 1 and 3).
3) The server doesn't limit itself to Cloudflare only IP's
So those are things which would be useful. Current server has a VPS plan they keep telling me about if I want those things, but I think a VPS server is going to be too much technical work for me and I probably don't have the time or enough knowledge.
It sounds like a real hassle and load of work changing servers, with a chance of mess ups, which is another reason I've stayed put ...........
I've looked at Krystal (mid package) - which costs more than my current package and has less storage at 20gb. (I currently have 50gb storage)
I had a look at Siteground but that seems very expensive. First year is discounted and after that it goes up a LOT
Also read on here about a server run by someone called Mike? And centminmod (but I think that's VPS again?)
