XF 1.4 Server move and update to XF2

Hi there
We are moving a quite large XF1.4.9 site from an old server which is running php5.6
The move needs to be done before the upgrade
I need to find out what version of php XF1.4.9 will run on, as not surprisingly we don't have any servers with php 5.6 on them.

Where can I find out if it will work on with php 7.x ?

I don't know if that will work on 7.x, but what I would recommend is get a server with multi-PHP.

You can migrate the board there on PHP 5.6, prepare it for upgrade and easily toggle the PHP version between that, or 7.x or even 8.x. You'd be able to select which PHP versions you want the domains to use.

This is doable with KnownHost & DirectAdmin.
