XF 1.5 See only newly created threads.

My goal as Admin is to log in and see any completely new threads that have been created since I last clicked that link to view new threads.

We added a "new threads" link to the top of our forum, but it doesn't do what I expect it to do. For example:

https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/find-new/threads?days=30

This is our "Latest Threads" link.
But it shows me existing threads that have new posts in them.
In fact it redirects upon click, to:
https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/find-new/20218/posts

1) Why is it doing that?
2) I want to see only brand new, newly created threads. How can I see this?

1. I'm not sure what you're referring to here. If you're referring to the redirect, it's how the system works.

2. If you are distinguishing newly created threads from threads that have had new posts, there's nothing that exposes that in the find new system. It only shows the threads that have been updated recently (by default, what you haven't read yet).

Sorry that portion of my statement was mostly for me. I was thinking I could run a search that only shows new threads/posts in the last day (versus 30 days as its currently set). This would show me new threads, and a much smaller list.

Still, I'd prefer a way to know when a new thread is created. Is there a trick to doing this, like maybe setting up a dummy account, subscribing to each forum, and having an email inbox that notifications go to? I assume this forum can send notifications when someone is watching a forum.
