Security, Spam Bots, etc.

I am looking for some suggestions and help on how to make sure that my Xenforo is as secure as possible, and also very good with fighting off spam bots.

Lately my forums has been getting a ton of spam bots coming through. The past 5 days, every day there has been 1-2 spam bots posting on our forums. So what can I do to stop them? What can I add, and what are the best settings I can set on the User Registration settings?

If I use that.. will it get a lot of false-positives?
also.. do I need to use a CAPTCHA/Question on registration if I have this?

No chance of false positives. With the stopforumspam you have a chance for false positives.

I always keep one Q&A because that add-on does not protect the Contact form. I always keep the question simple though.

Wait a minute... if it was, why am I running it on all 3 of my sites (1 registered version and 2 branded - eventually I'll get the spare ka-ching for all to be registered versions).

@Ren3gade10, you won't go wrong... it's a great add-on and if you get the full suite it's even better.
