I would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to check out my new site especially if you are a fan of the Southeastern Conference (US College sports conference). @Sheldon is currently "Sheldon'izing" the site to make it really stand out. Even if you aren't a fan at least take a look and tell me ways the site can be improved.

We are using @Audentio's antiquark theme, @Bob B's Sportsbook add-on for placing virtual bets on games, @Jaxel's xenPorta add-on for the front page, @sonnb's Gallery add-on for people to add pics from games, etc. There are several other add ons we have installed on the site but these are some of the bigger ones. I am also waiting on Apple so I can also add @digitalpoint's Push Notification add-on.

Without further hesitation here is the link to the site http://www.secforu.ms so come and check us out and let me know what you think. Remember it's still a work in progress so keep that in mind as well.

Push notifications for Mac's using Mavericks has been enabled.

EDIT: There is an issue that needs to be resolved. You can approve for push notifications but none are being sent. @digitalpoint is looking into this issue for me.

Good stuff Ernest, best of luck with the site, if I may make one suggestion.

I don't know if it's my eyes being on the computer too much but when I look at the nodes, the team banner fading into white completely burns my eyes. I'd suggest having it span the entire width and put some opacity on it, just a thought, bet but of luck :D

Well....I think it's just your eyes @Russ lol. It's not that bad when you have fresh eyes. It was the look I was going for..... Now quit staring at a computer screen all day lol. I will let @Sheldon know what you said though.

Wow. That is just awesome, I love those nodes. I think Russ isn't completely wrong, but it looks nice too the way it is. You and Sheldon have done a great job, really really fresh. :D

Well I'm not going to take any credit. That was all Sheldon. He is amazing with that stuff. He's not even really started on it. I told him to have at it. Not restricting him in any way. I love how it's turning out.

I like the layout, however the gray on the gray turns ... too gray
Atleast on this screen is it hard to differenciate between what is content and what is background because they blend together

I like it. The only thing that becomes irritating after a while is the hovering over the categories and the icons (discussions/messages) icons spring out at you. Other than that, it's coming along very nicely.

I don't think muting the content on front page until you mouse over is such a good idea. The font color blends a bit too much with the background, making it difficult to read. It is better when you mouse over, but that is just annoying having to mouse over articles just to be able to read them.

Ah, tis a bug in the skin (or should I say, XenPorta), for using the sidebar class when the content is not the sidebar >.>. Will fix this.

Wanted to try something different with the postbit on this one.... Wanted to keep it simple, yet still an original idea.

In "Preferences", you get the choice of the school you want to represent:

Once chosen, the school logo is put beside the member's name, where you see it, and their is also a small bar with the school primary color bordering the outside of the postbit. The avatar and username are still selectable, so the images are not interfering with any of that.

front page is really hard to read. perhaps have the sidebar as hover = full opacity, but the main section should probably be left alone with or without the hover, especially with the header doing the transition when u scroll down. i like the postbits and the team colour next to posts...but overall i find the content far too light...and then you have very bright and colourful forum sections.

For those complaining about the front page it's something @Audentio is fixing in the next release of Antiquark.

That is from the creator of the theme. It will be fixed as soon a the update is released or he can give me the fix for it. It's not that way intentional.
