Search syntax

I know that some of the enhanced elastic search syntax is not supported (which is a shame) so that the search syntax is unified whether enhanced search or normal search is used - but...

Is there a document anywhere that lists what syntax is supported (by XF not ES) for the end user?

    Thanks :)

The only modifiers are really + to require a term (which is the default anyway), - for not allowing a term, and | -- as in "x | y" -- for "or". Beyond that, quotes allow phrase searching.

    Thanks Mike, much appreciated.

I know it's not the done thing to reveal plans, so I appreciate you can't comment, but it would be nice if some of the other Elastic Search syntax could be useable with the the ES addon.

@Mike is it expected that search with all not-allowed search terms will return hits for those terms?

I'll have to look into that.
