I’m not quite sure if it would be useful however I believe the point would be that it could add another layer of filtering to the the search, depending on the search forum criteria. Not sure what the point would be...? None of the posts are actually in those nodes.
I'm just not sure how it would be feasible to further filter for keywords in a search node. It's not really any different than doing a regular search for all the criteria you want to find and then copying and pasting the page link of your results: how would you look for further keywords in that case except to do another search?I’m not quite sure if it would be useful however I believe the point would be that it could add another layer of filtering to the the search, depending on the search forum criteria.
The title field, yes. Not body. Also tags and prefixes, if that helps. Is it possible to keyword search in a Search forum?
Right, titles too, but I doubted he had enough titles with the same keywords - but you never know. Prefixes kind of suck 'cause you can only use one - and unfortunately Xon's addon doesn't work here. The title field, yes. Not body. Also tags and prefixes, if that helps.
You can highlight as many as you want for the search result. SFs work just like Batch Update Threads.Prefixes kind of suck 'cause you can only use one
You're right. I was tinkering with the settings earlier and it was causing zero results to show when I tried adding more than one prefix, but I obviously must have changed something else at the same time that affected results. So yeah, that's another filter. You can highlight as many as you want for the search result. SFs work just like Batch Update Threads.
yep i did that (see #9) and that does everything except restrict search to last X daysYou can manually construct the search link with this tutorial, and then pop the link into a link forum or in a nav tab:
Manually constructing search URLs
There are occasions where it may be desirable to manually create a search URL. Not me personally, but hey, everyone's different (apart from genetically identical clones, obvs). Although XF does provide the search parameters in the output URL...xenforo.com
I'll have to get my head around this one.. thanksYeah, I don't know. There is this addon here you can check out:
[tl] Thread Symbiotics
Description: Make more threads which link to an existing thread. Symbiotic threads work like the current thread redirect but with few differences: Symbiotic threads is permanently redirects Symbiotic threads have last post info and display as...xenforo.com
I don't own it and haven't looked at it too closely, but maybe there's some way you could put it to use.
But you can it seems.yep i did that (see #9) and that does everything except restrict search to last X days
