Search criterion with exception

What exception did you have in mind?

I want search for example "history" and in search result I don't want see threads with word "like". How I can do it?
In Google search I can type "history -like". Where "-like" - exception word "like".

Oh that. The same syntax works in XenForo.

For example, I was able to find my previous post with this search string:

+criteria +search

But not with this search string:

+criteria -search

The "-" operator is a NOT.

Hm... Testing:

1. I want search "history" without "like" (first variant)


2. I want search "history" without "like" (second variant)


3. I want search "history" and "like"


1 and 3 - some result.

Hmm. I can confirm some unexpected behavior there. I need to look at this closer. Will report back.

The word "like" is being ignored in the search due to it being common.

Try with different words which are accepted.
