is there a way to do a search by date?

i.e. - find all posts from a certain date.

The "Newer Than" field in the search bar/search page brings up a calendar, allowing you to pick a date. Results returned will be newer than the date selected there.

Will it be possible in future releases to enter a date here? It's a little annoying having to click a bunch of times to go back far in time.

There are suggestions to that effect, I believe.

You can actually paste a date in directly.
