Select one forum and
DESELECT: Search sub-forums as well

The results still return the sub-forum results and in the thread the breadcrumb shows it as being in the parent but it isn't.

This is not something I can reproduce here so there may be issues specific to your forum that may require further troubleshooting.

As a specific example if you head to our search threads page, select "XenForo suggestions" and uncheck "Search sub-forums" and search for the word activitat, you won't get any results.

If you now check "Search sub-forums" it will return a single result from "Closed suggestions".
