Hi. Has anyone used https://www.scaleway.com/en/ for hosting big forums With lots of images ?
Their network isn't that great, however if you're behind Cloudflare then that wouldn't matter too much. Other than that they're an "ok" budget provider.
Any other hosting suggestions with big storage options available?
I'm considering both options.VPS/cloud or dedicated?
Hetzner's newer cloud offerings are all NVMe based storage. You can look at their dedicated servers if you need more space, or for cloud you'll probably need to look for a provider that offers slower HDD based storage if you need multi-TB space at a decent price.
Slices: https://buyvm.net/kvm-dedicated-server-slices/I would start with something cheaper. Maybe 30euro a month. Can you send me a link about second option you mentioned?
ssd are faster than hdd. nvme is faster than ssd but not many providers offer it iirc.
in that case, you just need to focus on storage capacity being offered by the hosting company. ssd storage is of course expensive compared to hdd. but most bigger players have more or less moved to ssd for primary offerings.
