The feed respects group permissions. So the content of the feed may be different for guests. And when viewing the raw feed in a browser the times are usually adjusted to the time zone on the client machine. That is just how most browsers render a feed. So that may also be deceiving.

I don't see that example thread in the feed (the Error 315300 thread). But I am not logged in. That might affect it.

That indicates a bug in the software with respect to the dates on rss items.
